Campus Spotlight: University of Cincinnati

The University of Cincinnati was founded as a public institution in 1819. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 22,231 and its setting is urban. It operates on a semester-based academic calendar and offers hundreds of programs, including graduate degrees in medicine, engineering and law. The university also has several highly ranked health and fine arts master's programs.

Students at the University of Cincinnati have plenty of things to do outside the classroom. They can discover more than 300 campus organizations, join Greek life or explore the city’s thriving art scene. Student athletes can get involved at the intramural or club sport level or try out for one of the many Cincinnati Bearcats varsity teams, which compete in the NCAA Division I American Athletic Conference. Notable alumni include Joseph Strauss, the architect responsible for designing the Golden Gate Bridge, and the 27th president of the United States, William Taft.
