WES Student Advisor to Celebrate International Education Week
WES Student Advisor will hold a series of events for this year’s International Education Week from Nov. 16-20, 2015. Click here for a full list.
• Webinars: We will be holding webinars on U.S. admissions in four different languages – English, Arabic, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese – from Monday, Nov. 16 to Thursday, Nov. 19. Each webinar will focus on applying to college and graduate school in the United States. The webinars will feature admissions experts from four U.S. schools, and participants can have their questions answered in real time.
• Networking Event: WES Student Advisor will hold a networking event on Thursday, Nov. 19 at the WES office in New York City. This event will feature an admissions officer, a career services director and an international student. Join us for an informative session on landing a job and applying to U.S. schools. • Digital Photo Scavenger Hunt: Whether you’re in your home country or studying abroad in the U.S., you can participate in WES Student Advisor’s digital scavenger hunt. Earn points by taking photos of different objects that represent your home country and submit them through email, Facebook or Twitter. The winner gets a $50 Amazon gift card and will be featured on our social media. Specific instructions and details to follow.
• Essay Contest: WES Student Advisor is holding an essay contest for students around the world, open now. It will last through International Education Week. Students must answer the question: Why do you think pursuing an education overseas impacts a person beyond just academics? Submissions are due November 20, 2015 and should be approximately 500 words.
